Deep Tissue Massage

This type of massage focuses on the body’s deepest layers of muscle tissue and fibres. Considerable pressure is applied in deep slow strokes to help loosen adhesions and tension stored in the muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent discomfort associated with movement or body pain.

There are two main areas of timing where sports massage is especially beneficial. The first is getting for prevention and maintenance. This is a great way to keep those little problems and areas of soreness from becoming big ones. Depending on your sport, the techniques can be adjusted so that nothing is done to disrupt the training cycle or competition.

Hot Stone Massage

Melt away tension with the numerous benefits of Hot Stone Massage. It can help remove toxins from the body and stimulate the flow of fresh blood and Qi to an affected area and throughout the body. It often works wonders for patients with the flu, colds, back and muscle pain, poor circulation, anxiety, aches and other pains. 
Unlike most Western forms of bodywork, shiatsu is usually performed on a mat on the floor. No oils are used and the recipient remains clothed. Light to medium pressure is applied with the thumbs, fingers, and hands along channels or "meridians" that help to balance and free the flow of physical and mental energy. When appropriate, a shiatsu therapist can create deep pressure with elbows, knees, and feet. Shiatsu therapy also uses soft tissue manipulation and stretching.

  Swedish Massage 

Refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical.
